Can I say that I'd probably enjoy it more a second time? Now that I'm not expecting, you know... great acting. Or character development. Or a plot.

I was perusing the 'net this morning, looking at the fall movie previews, and lamenting the fact that the summer movies weren't all that I'd hoped for.

Just so you know, I wouldn't hold out hope that the fall is going to bring us fantastic film experiences. Yet I blogged anyway.

Happy Veterans Day!

I spent the morning in the NYC garment district with Mom buying fabric and trims... SO cute! Makes me want to sew, for sure.

Also, had dinner at Nick and Stef's steakhouse... dear heavens above.  It was decadent.  A (one) glass of wine, a prime rib, mashed potatoes, bread and creme brulee.

Then we saw Men Who Stare at Goats.

If I wasn't going to hell before, I certainly am now.

I spent the entire day and most of yesterday watching True Blood, the HBO soft core porn TV series based on Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels.

God help me, I liked it.

I saw The Mummy, Tomb of the Dragon Emperor.

So.  We're back from Austin.  Had a fabulous time.  Did some antiquing.  Nabbed some fabby Spode plates that were far underpriced, (score!) and some antique handkercheifs for my collection.  So pretty.
